Since 1971, Japanese children had idolized costumed heroes that are called Kamen Riders. Created by Toei, and considered as one of the longest-running superhero franchise in Japan, children had witnessed these heroes stop evil organizations (such as Shocker) from threatening the lives of the Japanese people. However, the actions of a bug-eyed biker aren't just limited to one country.
Donning the costume of Kamen Rider 1 (a.k.a. Kamen Rider Ichigo), the original Kamen Rider, a 44-year old businessman named Akihiro Tomikawa rides into the slums of Bangkok, Thailand to bring toys to the children in the area. The Kamen Rider Series is very famous in Thailand, not only because of a TV special in 1975 which is jointly produced by Toei and Chaiyo Productions of Thailand, but also due to the fact that there is huge influence of Japanese culture in the country.
In addition, Tomikawa completes the heroic experience by making a dynamic entry with the Cyclone, Kamen Rider 1's signature motorcycle.
What is most interesting and inspiring with this deed is that Tomikawa travels to Bangkok every two months to brighten the lives of the kids in the area. Thanks to his actions, he has proven that he can bring a smile to innocent children, even in such simple ways, and wearing a superhero costume, like Kamen Rider 1, will even make them happier, as they consider superheroes as their idols and inspirations to do good things in their own ways.
While a Rider Kick has the power to triumph over evil, a Rider Give can be more effective in most scenarios. As we give Tomikawa a big Rider Salute for his actions, you can check out the images of his noble performance at the source.
