FILIPINOS DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN AMERICAN IDOL!!!

Before anything else, I would like to congratulate Phillip Phillips for winning the 11th season of American Idol. Despite kidney problems, you went on fighting for glory. You have the heart of a champion.

Jasmine Trias. Ramiele Malubay. Thia Megia. Jessica Sanchez. These and other Filiipinos who went to the Idol stage tried to win the competition but failed. So I ask myself: does Filipinos deserve to win in American Idol?
For me, Filipinos in American Idol is like Jenna Talackova (loser!!!) who tried to be in Miss Universe, but in the different way. I'm not being racist here, but it looks like it, because I know these Filipinos were already born as American citizens so they have the right to be there. But you see for the past 11 years, American Idol winners were either Caucasian or African-American. Correct me if I'm wrong, but neither Asian nor Hispanic had ever won the title.
Where is the Idol franchise in the Philippines? When I learned about Philippine Idol on ABC (now TV5), I was excited to see it. And when Mau Marcelo won, I realized Filipinos still have it, that passion for music that goes around us for so many years.
And then came the moment that killed the franchise. When GMA bought the rights to air Philippine Idol, instead of continuing it, they rebooted it into Pinoy Idol, and Mau Marcelo fell into obscurity by not recognizing her as the first champion. Instead, they had a new protochampion in Gretchen Espina, who I think was stunningly beautiful and hot, but sad to say, she had a voice like Britney Spears.
HER WIN IN PINOY IDOL WAS A FLUKE! GRETCHEN ESPINA AND GMA KILLED THE IDOL FRANCHISE!!!
Espina's win proves that anyone in the country can be a singer regardless of the quality of the voice. Please don't get offended but the sad truth is that there are many singers out there that does not sing very well yet they are in the limelight. What are their albums? Lots of revives, remakes and cover songs full of crap! They had no originality whatsoever. I will not state names but you know who am I talking with.
So now, brothers and sisters, why audition in American Idol if we have a franchise of our own? Why don't GMA bring back the franchise they buried and try to entice other Filipinos around the world to join? Besides, if they win in Philippine Idol, through social media and in the Internet, many record labels in their own countries will give them lucrative offers, just like what happened to Charice.
FILIPINOS DON'T DESERVE TO BE IN AMERICAN IDOL, BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT AMERICANS.
WE'RE FILIPINOS. THE BEST RACE IN THE WORLD!!!
