MTRCB Puts 'WOWOWILLE' On 3-Months Probation For Cleavage Shot Of Well-Endowed Dancer

"The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board on Monday placed the TV5 daily noontime show 'Wowowillie' on a three-month probation for the “skimpy outfits” of its dancers and “excessive flesh exposure” during its April 16 episode.

"MTRCB chair Atty. Toto Villareal told News5 that the probation will be applied 'on a per episode basis'.

"On its Twitter account, the MTRCB said TV5 and 'Wowowillie' have already apologized for the violations. It added that the show will be given an SPG (Strict Parental Guidance) rating instead of the usual PG (Parental Guidance) starting on Monday.

"The MTRCB had taken exception to the well-endowed dancer named Charm whose cleavage went on full display during the 'Tutok to Win' segment of the program on April 16.

"On Sunday, 'Wowowillie' business unit head Jay Montelibano told News5 and InterAksyon that he and the production staff had already remedied the problem ahead of the meeting with the MTRCB on Monday morning.

"'We already took the necessary actions. We altered the dancers costumes and reminded the cameraman to be extra cautious sa shots,' he said.

"The MTRCB said TV5 and 'Wowowillie' had promised 'to submit further reform measures not later than 06 May 2013'.

"Last month, 'Wowowillie' was summoned by the MTRCB after main host Willie Revillame castigated co-hosts Ethel Booba and Ate Gay on air after an altercation in the dressing room.

Willie and his staff underwent a gender sensitivity seminar as a result.

 

"'Wowowillie' is the second TV program to be put on probation by the MTRCB this year. Last February, GMA’s Sunday noontime variety show 'Party Pilipinas' was placed on a six-month probation for a provocative dance number performed by Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino.

THE POOCH'S BRIEF:

Here is one of the many problems of Willie Revillame's shows, It's seems very obvious over the past 10 years, but MTRCB has lately noticed it.

Why does his dancers wear provocative clothing? So that more guys would watch the show just to stare at the dancers' juggies? Perhaps. 

But come to think of it, most of the audience demographic of Wowowillie, are just the same as Eat, Bulaga! and It's Showtime. The slight difference is that more senior citizens tend to love Kuya Wil more than Bossing. Probably because of the jackets?

This is the N'th time Willie's show has been sanctioned by MTRCB. We all know the long-standing feud between him and the Board for so many years. When will he ever learn? Though people might say there is room for improvement. I hope they will. They must comply to the rules before it's too late. Eat, Bulaga! had been on that road before, that's why they switched to more conservative, yet sexy clothing for the EB Babes.

But here is one undeniable fact: This incident is another excuse for EVEN DEMATA to blaspheme Willie Revillame on Youtube.
